Dr. Sharanjot Mann, D.M.D.
With more than twenty years of experience, Dr. Sharanjot Mann, D.M.D. is a trusted Somerville dentist known for her compassionate care and commitment to excellence. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree with high honors from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Before dental school, she completed a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Medical Epidemiology at Loma Linda University in Southern California, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Government Dental College, Patiala in 1998.
Dr. Mann stays at the forefront of modern dentistry through ongoing continuing education and advanced training. She has completed professional courses at the Spear Institute in Arizona for dental implant restoration and root canal therapy, received nitrous oxide administration certification from Boston University, and trained in Invisalign® and Pro-Monitoring aligner systems. Her background in epidemiology allows her to take a research-based approach to understanding the causes and prevention of oral diseases — helping patients achieve healthier, long-lasting smiles.
Known for her warm, friendly personality and great sense of humor, Dr. Mann helps even the most anxious patients feel relaxed and comfortable. She enjoys working with patients of all ages, from young children to adults, and has a special talent for connecting with kids — making every dental visit a positive experience.
Outside the office, Dr. Mann loves spending time outdoors with her family and their dog, Max. A devoted dog lover, she’s always happy to share a laugh (and a story or two) about her furry friends with her patients.
Dr. Maria Arguello, D.M.D.
With 35 years of experience in dentistry, Dr. Arguello brings an international perspective and a compassionate approach to Max Dental Care in Somerville. Born and raised in Nicaragua, she began her journey in dentistry there and graduated as a dental surgeon. She later volunteered with a nonprofit organization in Peru and worked in family dentistry before continuing her training in periodontology in Mexico.
Building on her experience in family dentistry and her training in periodontology, Dr. Arguello moved to the United States to continue her professional journey. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, building on the knowledge and experience she had gained abroad.
Her experiences across different countries have shaped the way she connects with patients. Dr. Arguello believes that compassionate care begins with listening, understanding each person's concerns, and helping them feel comfortable. At Max Dental Care, she values the opportunity to build relationships based on trust and to create a welcoming environment where patients feel heard and supported. Her background in family dentistry and periodontology informs her approach to caring for patients and supporting their oral health.
Outside the office, Dr. Arguello loves spending time with her husband and son. Hiking, camping, and traveling are among their favorite ways to spend time together. Whether exploring a new destination or enjoying the outdoors, she treasures the chance to make memories with her family. She brings the same warmth and appreciation for personal connections to her relationships with patients.
